Low Tatras

Starring amongst a smattering of tucked-away eateries in the Low Tatras, the hills hereabouts are the proud cradle of that most quintessential type of Slovak restaurant, the Salaš! Ružomberok and Liptovský Mikuláš just to the north have pretty good restaurants these days but the Low Tatras Mountains are now becoming a tad more tourist-savvy and – whilst the restaurants or cafes are generally part of some form of accommodation – they are often much talked-about for their cuisine alone.
